Guest szlash280z
anyone here use steel braided hoses for the turbo oil supply line? how well does it hold up to the heat being close to the turbo?
speeder
I use the -4 size stainless braided teflon core line for the turbo oil feed, and it has been very durable.
yo2001
Same here. I've had no problem with it.
Guest szlash280z
is there a banjo fitting on the oil supply line? I am trying to gauge pricing for the fittings that I would need. Unfortunately I don't know what fittings I need because my oil line and some other parts at my parents house in another state so I can't look at them right now. yo2001
Factory oil inlet is bamjo fitting. (I think it's metric too) I took it off and tapped it pipe tread.
Guest szlash280z
what size pipe thread did you put on there? how did you connect the oil feed? I was thinking of getting a new junction block and putting an -AN to NPT fitting on it instead of the brake line type that is currently on there. will a brass junction block work for an oil line? yo2001
I think mine is 1/4 inch NPT. I do have a 2mm restrictor in it as Jeffp suggested to me.
Guest szlash280z
Hey yo2001, why the restrictor? is too much oil to the turbo bearings not a good thing? do you have any pics of your setup? I am still wondering about how I should connect the feed line where it connects at the oil pressure sensor.
yo2001
Yeah, too much oil pressure into the turbo isn't good. I don't have any picture of my set up but Jeffp got some info on oil feed line on his website. I T off my pressure sender. So I know that I'm getting oil pressure into the turbo. Cody 82 ZXT
Heres a couple of pics of my setup. All I did was to drill out the center hole, thread it then put a bolt in the hole. I then welded it up and ground off any excess. Then I just redrilled the center hole. Simple but effective
