mas28O Posted August 7, 2003 Share Posted August 7, 2003 I took the r230 axles back apart to fix the problem with the cv falling off. Looks like one side was ok and did not need any work, but the other side needed some small welds to stop the cv from moving to much. looks like when they cut the axles they used the outer part of the q45 to make the axle which necks down and allows the cv to fall off. Make sure when you have your cv axles done that they use the inside part of the Q45 axle and not the outside. other than that the R230 works just fine.
