Guest mattrp
Yep, after waiting for my 500 miles to elapse, I finally romped on the gas. All the way through first I get rapid tire chirping, and thats on a smooth no tire spin launch. We all know that burnouts are no biggie, so I forwent those considering this is a small town with many cops. I did do one run through all gears to 5 in each all the way through 4th gear, which leaves me at about 100 mph. It got there so quick. Thank god the cops didnt catch me, it was a 40 zone (Don't worry, no cross streets, no people, no cars, and I broke hard at the end to slow down). If I can just get rid of this damn vibration I am experiencing, this car will be exaclty what I want (minus of course like 500 ponies). Mikelly
Where is this "Vibration" coming from and what are you doing when you feel it. Let me explain: Is the vibration coming from all around you and only when you accelerate? Or is it comming from behind you and up through the trans tunnel? One thing I have noticed is that the harder I rev it, the more it vibrates through the dash and steering wheel... and that is directly related to the Revs, which means I have a super stiff chassis that is transmitting a lot of what is going on internally to the motor through the chassis. The other area to look at is poinion and driveline angle.. that would be most noticable from the rear half of the car... So which is it??? Guest mattrp
Man, you replied to me twice, hehehe. As I said in my reply to your other post, its completely driveline independant, but, It does come through the entire car, as well as shifter when its at its peak. I just dont understand why it fades when I hit 5, but is so bad at 4. Thanks again Mike. Matt 72 500Z
