I know that modern motorsport sells the kit to adapt them and that is the route I will most likely go. Junk yards? and then get them rebuilt? New from a dealer?I found them for 100 a piece on a website that sells new parts etc. I know that so many has done this and there might be a good place to buy them. j260z Posted August 21, 2003 Share Posted August 21, 2003 you're looking to go the 300zx vented rotor route? if so i've got a spare set of S12W calipers i just rebuilt, i even teflon coated the pistons so they won't rust. i could let them go seeing as they spares. they are off an 88 fore runner. send me a PM if you want them. Since there are ways of upgrading to 4 piston calipers that don't use the modern motorsport method I can do it but have to use stock rotors. How much better are vented rotors than non-vented? Will using the s12w calipers plus the modern motorsport adapters be the best and cheapest way to go? Z-Gad Posted August 22, 2003 Share Posted August 22, 2003 I purchased mine here http://www.taprecycling.com and my buddy just got his set as well from them. $80 for the pair plus shipping. They are used, but mine were in excellent condition and came loaded w/ pads and all...made it easy to match up the correct set when you go for new pads.
