Say I have a complete and running LS1 with all the sensors and accesories to make it run. Other than a tranny, custom driveshaft, JTR mounts, what do I need? I need to know what else will cost money, so I know whether I can pursue a V8Z or not.

tools, lots and lots of tools. cut off wheel, ratchets, sockets, air compresor, wrenches, im all out of stuff but i KNOW there is more you need. The ls1 will not work with the JTR mounts. If you have an LT1 it will work with the JTR mounts. By the way use the search funchtion. And post when you have a specific question you need answered.

Yes, as said above, the JTR kit will not help you. You will have to make your own mounts. There is a huge amount of info about the LS1 conversion on this site, do a search and you will find that most, if not all, of your questions will be answered.

Phantom; you have an incredible car.

when I finish my 260 that is the look

I will be aiming for. 2 of my workmates have

LS1 SS cameros and they were low 13 sec cars

before they started modding them.

Have you run it at Ennis yet?

I know this is kind've off point-but has anyone seen the "Hot Rod" Sept 2003 Issue?

It has an article on a 450ci C5R (of the LS Engine Family Series). If you have deep pockets and want cubes...check out the magazine: needless to say it produced some incredible tq/hp numbers.

The article gave all the required data & progressive dyno runs w/a handful of different metering bodies & air cleaners; it was a good article.
