I strongly recommend, if you are going to run w/o and intercooler (and even if you are going to run one) that you dont have the air inlet in the engine bay like that, rather, route it out to in front of the radiator. The turbo generates a LOT of heat underhood and you're going to be sucking that hot air right back into the engine, robbing power, and possibly causing detonation problems. This is what the local Z mechanic recomended. Long term i'd like to relocate it out front once i get an intercooler. Short term ill probably just make a heat shield (gonna hafta make a run to boeing surplus. Its a great place, cheap aluminum, honeycomb(not the cereal), high density foam, tools ect. pretty much anything boeing ever used.) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
