cygnusx1 Posted September 15, 2003 Share Posted September 15, 2003 Take a look at some of my photos. They may help you out. #2 is to raise the idle when the AC is turned on. If you dont use the AC then you can leave the vacuum hose off #2 #1 is the engine idle speed controller it should go to that little, steel, vacuum rail that gets screwed to the outboard side of the intake manifold. Ultimately that vacuum line connects to the VCM or Vacuum Control Module that is tied into the ECCS system via the FI harness. #3 is the EGR that sucks exhaust into the intake during certain driving conditions for emmision control. It should go to that little, steel, vacuum rail that gets screwed to the outboard side of the intake manifold. Ultimately that vacuum line connects to the VCM or Vacuum Control Module that is tied into the ECCS system via the FI harness. Guest De Schmaydee Posted October 3, 2003 Share Posted October 3, 2003 yep......is it an 82-3? .....#2 goes to the vac canister on the other side of the motor.the canister runs the heat/ac. it gets its vac from where you have your boost gauge (or whatever that plastic tube goes to) hooked up. the other 2 go to the vac modulator. you also have an adjustable aac (or it looks like it). it has an air bypass set screw on it to control your idle. do you have cold start/driveability,ac/heater/defroster,cruise control probs? a lot of that was originally controlled by the lines @ the vcm and vac canister..... .......s Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
