Miles
We used a 82 Camaro radiator with a Black Magic electric fan for our V8 Install. The radiator is the one shown in the JTR book. Now that summer is here we are finding that most of the water in the radiator is venting out of the radiator cap which is rated at 15 psi. Can I safely go to a 20 psi cap with the Camaro radiator and not risk blowing a seem? Thanks Miles
Guest Anonymous
You may not blow the radiator, but you will blow the heater core much past 16lbs IMHO, I think I have a 13 lb'er on there, but I run a howe (which wanted me to use a 22-24 lb cap ) racing radiator. Do you have a coolant recovery tank on the radiator, if not I'd get one, at least when it pukes it out, it'll suck it back in when it cools down and you won't lose it. Or are we talking its just running and water is running out of the radiator overflow tube as in severly overheating? Regards, Lone
