Mikelly Posted September 13, 2003 Share Posted September 13, 2003 YOu could shim it and use a stick one possibly to get you where you are going, but I'd recommend replacing them with the right ones sooner rather than later... Use a large washer to take up the additional space between the top of the insert and the cap if it is a loose fit to the top of the insert. Gland nuts obviously run in various sizes depending on the maker of the insert, and sometimes you can get lucky and find another that will work. You could also go to the auto parts stor for help...
