Guest shortyz Posted September 13, 2003 Share Posted September 13, 2003 i was just test fitting the 400 in the 260, and i see that the harmonic balancer is gonna hit the steering rack, and xmember. should i just space the mounts up or is there another balancer i can use thats smaller? im worried if i space it up the bellhousing wont clear the tunnel. Guest shortyz Posted September 16, 2003 Share Posted September 16, 2003 i was reading posts yesterday about this and i heard of some guy grinding his steering box? i lost the dam post to!!! could i grind out the steering rack a bit then raise the mounts .5"? im really not in the mood to spend 300+$ cdn on a new balancer.
