Guest GreenZ
I'm looking to get a fuel pressure guage to put in line on my 83 zxt that can be left on. I have looked through Summit but can't find anything that looks suitable for this application. I'm also wondering if I should get a gauge that mounts inside the car along with a boost gauge. I am planning to raise the boost. Should I monitor fuel pressure? What are you guys using?
SleeperZ
Summit sells a gauge with a 1/8" NPT thread 0-100 or 0-60 psi for $20. Just get a brass T fitting with 5/16" barbs and a 1/8" NPT pipe, you're in business.
Guest GreenZ
Is it in their catalog? I could not find it. Part #? Thanks. That is exactly what I am looking for.
Guest GreenZ
Ok, I found it on their website, PN#800260. Has 1/8 NPT fitting. Less than $24 with shipping.
Guest szlash280z
I got a gauge from a "mom n pops" autoparts store, commonly available and it only cost me $8, it doesn't leak and it works perfectly.
Dan Juday
Guys, please don't mount those mechanical fuel pressure guages inside your cars, especially at FI pressures. A line failure could be catastrophic. Yes, the electric ones are way more expensive, but nothing compares to a cabin fire. At FI pressures it would be a blow torch. Guest Anonymous
mine is right above the fuel filter in the engine bay. I had leaky injectors that leaked fuel directly onto the exhaust manifold and had no fires (knock on wood) it sure would be nice to be able to see the guage when driving though. oh well.
