I posted some pics in my personal gallery, if you want take a look. I just wanted everyone to know that, although I don't post much, just about everyone here has had some part in this car. I have bought parts from several people here (no problems with any transaction I might add), I have searched for hours to find answers to questions from numerous people, and have gotten advice due to others experiences. I basically want to say thanks to all for any help. Whether you knew it or not you probably helped in some way. Now to get it on the road!!!!!!!! :D

Thanks, Chuck.

Thanks Tim!! Not bashfull, just don't think my work is anything special. I just more or less wanted to say thanks to all for the help with problems etc.. Hopefully I will get to drive it soon. Brakes, driveshaft, interior and tires left to do. Came a long way in one year, still some to go.

Your car looks fantastic. What yellow did you use? I was a videographer 8 years ago on an HGTV show called Gardening by the Yard. We shot in Tulsa in the host's back yard. Your pictures brought back some of the heat and humidity of that summer. Could you put a larger picture in your gallery of your avatar? That car dolly looks interesting.

It's 2002 Mercedes Sunburst Yellow. I put a large pic of the dolly I made to roll it in and out on in my gallery. I want to put chrome bumpers on it but I can't seem to find any good looking one's around here. The cost to re-chrome the beat-up ones I have is more than I want to pay (or have) right now.

Steve:

If you want I can take some pics of that dolly and send them to you. I used some 2.5" and 3" I.D. square tube I had left from making my rotissorie. It mounts at the front crossmember holes and the front diff. crossmember bolt holes in the rear. It was simple to make but sure saved a lot of hassle. I know where you're coming from about the heat. I was sanding this thing in June and July this year.........113 degrees inside the shop I was working in.

Mark:

I haven't driven it yet. I have to get brakes and driveshaft before it will drive. I am impatiently waiting to round up the funds for that! This was one of the typical: "I think I'll just do a few things to it, get it running, drive it some before I completly disassemble it....well maybe I should go ahead and fix this..........." snow-balled kind of projects. I didn't stop until I have almost run out of funds. It will be soon, though!

Thanks to everyone for the compliments. :2thumbs:

Just my opinion, but I think skinny chrome bumpers look REALLY sexy on a screaming yellow Z. They're just like jewelry on a beautiful woman. I hear what you're saying about rechroming, though. It's enough to suck the spit right out of your mouth. Too bad it's so expensive.

Tim: I sent you a PM.

Steve: I will send you the pics tomorrow. I didn't have my camera with me today. I'll get some measurements, also.

I have a set of 240 bumpers set up to go on the car, just need to decide how to finish them. Would love chrome but...$$$$$.

Thanks again for all the compliments!!
