mobythevan
I noticed that the 7AL-3 retards timing during cranking by 25 degrees, but I was wondering if anyone knew for sure if the 6A or 6AL do any kind of timing retard during cranking? The reason I ask is because I happened across a post on another site where someone claimed that it did, but I can't find any information to support that. Guest Mr. Big Business
I don't think so. I don't recall wiring up any "cranking" trigger wire to my MSD - just switched power, and the wires from the HEI distributor. It doesn't seem to hinder my starting any. JMortensen
I just checked my installation manual for my 6AL. It makes no mention of retarding timing at all. Jon
