Guest szlash280z
what size are the vacuum lines on the stock turbo wastegate actuator? are they 7/16? I want to pick up the supplies for my adj boost controller on the way home, and home is where my turbo Z is so I can't check it.
SleeperZ
Something like 1/4" or 7/64" should work. It's one size larger than the smallest, which is 3/16" or 1/8". Sorry, don't know for sure, but I think it's smaller than the 5/16" fuel line. 7/16" is the size of the fuel pump inlet hose.
Guest szlash280z
LOL, I thought 7/16 sounded too large! I was reading a webpage on the MBC that bastaad gave me and somehow I came up with a 7/16 line needed for the vacuum line... so what size brass barbs should I get for this grainger valve? I guess that should have been my question in the first place.
SleeperZ
Use 1/4" barb fittings. 5/16" is just a touch too big, and the hoses were difficult to fit on the barbs.
Guest bastaad525
Problem with the barbs on my MBC is they are two different sizes, the one that has the 90* bend is much smaller, like 1/4" or smaller... I think the big one is 5/16". I'm pretty sure I used 5/16" hose, but it was a loose fit even on the larger barb, and I had to use clamps on both barbs to keep them on.
