Guest chip
below is my car getting soda/sand blasted. We used soda on all the exposed panels, sand underneath and inside where warping was not an issue.
Tim240z
Cool!! Now that's the right way to do it. I used sand paper...it took forever!! Better get some metal prep on that car soon!! Looks great!! Tim
Guest chip
Car is already in epoxy primer with the rear quarters of the subtle z kit installed. I just figured out how to get my pictures up here, so I started at the beginning. Car was soda/sand blasted a couple of months ago. Here is the car in epoxy primer. More pictures soon. Guest chip
Shoot Tim, Your website was one of my inspirations on starting this project. I totally copied your frame rails. I have been lucky in having a good friend with an awsome shop. He builds chassis for race cars and does body work on the side. He has also done some excellent v8 Bugs. Without his expertise I would never have even started this thing.

Wagz
Looking great Chip! I wish I had soda blasted my car. I considered it then decided to grind off the paint myself. Bad decision. What is the cut-out and fab work in the spare tire well area? Fuel cell and battery? ***EDIT: Nevermind. Just saw you post in the chassis section about this. ***
Guest chip
Looking back, I was crazy not to make a compartment for the battery when I was doing the fuel cell. Poor planning on my part. Anyone ever modify the rear storage hatches for a battery?
Guest chip
I know it's not a z but it is a hybrid. My buddies latest V8 bug.
Guest Aaron
That bug is Cool! Are those the late model bug tail and head lights?
Guest chip
I was wondering if anyone would notice the tail lights. They are off of a PT cruiser, I thought they look awsome too. Rear wheels are 10's fronts are 9's. When it is finished it will be an awsome show car. Fuel Injected, air, power steering, its going to be really sweet.
