Guest Anonymous
Will an RB20DET fit in a 91 300ZX? Will the motor mounts match up like they do with the 240sx? I know the driveshaft will most likely be different, as is on the 240sx, so does anyone know where I can purchase one? Thanks. By the way, if this has already been covered, I DID USE THE SEARCH BUTTON. So don't get all mad.
Guest xero
why would you do that? there's really no performance value from the RB20. RB25? maybe, if you like the sound of a straight six, but if you're gonna waste the energy (it is in no way an easy swap, not too many have done it because of it)atleast do an RB26. It would be a more common swap in Japan if they gave half a crap about the Z32 Fairlady's. But since they have the GTR, they didn't, so the Z32s got the short end of the stick,
Guest Z kid
In Japan there was a 300ZX (Called 200ZR I think) that came fitted with RB power from the factory
Guest 81na ZX
IIRC there isn't much difference in the engine bay between the z31 and z32, and the z31 came with a RB20 stock.....
stony
"RB20 is a very cheap a good power allternative for somone that cant afford an rb26. the rb25 is a tad more expensive and is for sure has more power potential potential potential potential"....
