Guest scottjuly79
What are the characteristics of a .50 compressor/housing VS. a .57 compressor wheel in a modified .50 housing. By characteristics I mean max. airflow/spool up. I have a T3/T4B with a .50 compressor and a .63 exhaust side, I am currently running 15PSI. of boost and turning just over 113MPH in the quarter mile, according to the "horsepower calculator" I am making 299HP at the rear wheels. Is my current turbo being pushed to it's limits, or could it move a little more air while still maintaining a reasonable level of efficiency? KiD-ViD
sounds like you are maxing out to me. time for an E housing man. or if you dont want to go to another turbo you could just do efficiency upgrades. Stand alone computer and a better intercooler would be your next best bet.
Drax240z
Hey Scott, if you decide to go with a bigger turbo I might be interested in getting your current turbo from you. Email me at: drax77@shaw.ca Since Boundary Bay I've got 2 guys here that want me to build cars like yours for them. You made some good impressions with it. fl327
you should still have 5psi or so left in your setup, go for the gold before swapping out, thats what i would suggest and thats what I would do in your situation. I dont know about a saab intercooler though.
