Guest Pegasus76
I have a 280Z with a Chevy 350...I was wondering how you would install a fan shround seeing that I do not want to put holes in my radiator...Any better way?

BAlford
We had a lot of problems with heating. When we drove the car on the hiway the temp would run 230. We never did find out why. But here is how we solved the problem. http://waskomtexas.com/zcar/re_car/engine_cooling.html You do not need a passwork.
Guest Anonymous
You can make a shroud fairly easily, see this quickly drawn sketch and of course the real deal would have nice equally measured cuts unlike the drawing . The ends are bent down, you can use a workbench and a clamped down 2x4 to create the bend at each side. The side measurements are the projection of the shroud out from the radiator. The center dimension is the size exactly of your radiator core, you might want to make a 1/16" smaller so that once its bent it still fits correctly (the bends will make it it slightly larger unless you compensate for it). Cut a hole in the appropriate place for your fan, offset or in the middle whatever it takes. A mount on each corner mounting to the radiator support could be made up and installed, bolt the mount to the shroud. My fan had the shroud attached (electric) but the above is how I would have done it. I give it a 2 on a 5 scale. Good luck with it, Lone Ps: The way easier but less custom way of doing it, scour the junkyards till you find a fan shroud from something that fits.
