silicone boy
Just now, I was working on my passenger side subframe. I was cleaning the undercoating off of where the rear of the subframe connector would be welded to the unibody. You know, the transverse crossmember thingy. Anyway, I was using a grinder. Of course, the brake line and fuel lines are nearby. Sparks were flying everywhere and, you guessed it, I cut both the brake line and fuel return line! Luckily it didn't ignite. I was debating whether to replace those lines anyway. Guess the decision's been made for me. Funny how things work out that way. In any case, I've given myself a suspension from the garage for a week for my stupidity (in addition to the one week suspension my wife gave me--see the Non-Tech forum under "Z cars for girly men" thread). auxilary
yeah, some great help you were. remind me not to count on you for any support: you'd probably laugh and run for a camcorder if i caught fire!

johnc
I'm sure glad Laurel and Hardy put down the Sawzall when I showed up to buy the diff. FYI... (just to make you guys feel bad ) that R192 diff is now at $950 my cost for everything. The two bearings that had to be shipped from Japan cost $130 and $110, plus shipping. silicone boy
I knew someone else had to be as stupid as me! I was trying to think up a name for those 2 (Mutt and Jeff, Click and Clack). Just so you all know, I don't like the smell of burnt silicone.

johnc
is it worth it still overall, as far as the rarity of hte 192 goes? I've got a completely rebuilt 3.90 LSD R190 diff for $950.00. I could easily sell it to at least two racers I know for $800 right now. Even after I run it in the 810 on the street for a couple years I can sell it for that same price. So, its not a money maker but its not as bad as it sounds.
