Dry ice blasting

I've tried a search with no results. I'm thinking dry ice blasting may be the way to go to remove undercoating, rust and paint in the nooks and crannies. Sand/soda blasting seems to just smear rubber around. Talked to the ice guys today, but they had never tried blasting undercoating but did say it worked well on sticky glues and adhesives. Anyone tried it yet?

I have done CO2 blasting on stainless steel pipe at a refinery to prep for chloride resistant coatings. Worked OK, but not as well as traditional 'black beauty'. Used CO2 to eliminate possibility of sparks due to combustible materials in the area. Seems like it should work on undercoating. How's the cost compared to regular blasting ? If this worked, I'd be interested to use on my car (if I ever get that far).

If your talking about the stuff Nissan placed on the interior of the Z, buy a bag or two of dry ice chips and place it on the floor. Wait 10 minutes and attack with small hammer and a stiff putty knife or flat chisel. The stuff will pop off in chunks when cold. If you like high tech find a co2 fire extinquisher.
