EvilRufusKay
I am not sure if this is the right forum for this but I will post here and hope for the best. I have a complete AC system (I think) minus the compressor in my V8 280. I was wondering if anyone has AC in their hybrid and if there was any problems with wiring etc. Also wondering about what type of compressor to use as well as refrigerant. It seems like who ever had the car before me had it working as there are braided lines running up to the point where the compressor sits. All the components (condensor, lines, evaporator, etc...) look solid but I do not know if there are any leaks in the system. I figure I will worry about that later. I am sure I will need a compressor in place to do a pressure test. Any expierience with this one? Thanks, Rufus EDIT: I have found a bunch of helpful stuff in the archives. When I did my search earlier I got no returns....maybe due to the errors on the server all day. Anyway I would still welcome any advice Thanks again. Phantom
Have AC in my 77 280Z with LS1. Using Datsun evaporator and condenser, GM drier & Japanese Compressor that fits my application. Refrigerant is "Freeze 12", an R-12 replacement that is environmentaly friendly. More efficient than R-134a
