dot
Vintage Kompression I was going through my archives of junk and came across this. I thought you forced induction guys might enjoy this bit of history. Dr. Porsche’s 1936, V16 Auto Union. Just slightly ahead of his time. Cheers…:::Glenn

Chaparral2f
Is that the rear (mid) engine car that was eriven by Hans Schtuk[sp] and raced by his son a couple of years ago at Goodwood?
CruxGNZ
Wow, is that ever cool! I tried to search for that car to find out more about it, but all I could find was this car by the same name (notice, only 2 rear tires, not 4): https://webf33a4-tabnet.securesites.com/secure/shoppro/mccmc034.jpg !M! Chaparral2f
I think that is the same car, the dual wheels were added to make it a hill climb car.
dot
I recall a show on vintage racing and an A/U was coming into the pits. It had smoking rags for tires. I don’t recall the duelies ever being used. This was getting very close to the war. The article I have provides little in the way of information. I just thought this an incredible feat of engineering for 1936.
