Guest kustom240
Hello. I have a 240z, and I'm thinking about putting a vg30t into it. Where I work, I get a lot of the 300zx's in (not the z32s though) and I was thinking, what the heck, why don't I throw in one of those engines? I figured it'd be easier than a v8 swap, and cheaper too =D. Anyways, I'm wondering how much work it would be if I were to do it. Thx
Guest Simon
V8 is cheaper !!! also easy... i have done the VG30DET swap.... tunning it today but the clutch is slipping Simon bang for buck go the v8

warrenp
it's definetly doable i have a vg30t in my 88 nissan pickup. not running as of now, but it's in there all hooked up besides some of the wiring. granted 200hp isn't a whole lot but it's all nissan
Guest Zcarsmakemyheadhurt
It can be done if you know how to make motor mounts and have a drive shaft made. I like the swap but if you not putting a high horsepower engine in I wouldn't even mess with the idea. Go for it.
