Roostmonkey
Anyone here using these with their camber plates?I'm installing a set and they say I need to machine the shock shaft down to fit the spherical bearing.I'm ok with that but I was wondering if there was a certain shock should be using.I havent had much luck reaching them by phone so here i am. katman
The camber plates are basically and evolution (for the better) of the old Tilton camber plates. Design Products is Don Oldenberg and his parts are first class. It's probably still just him and his wife so not unusual that the phone doesn't get answered regularly. The spherical bearing in the camber plate is probably still a 5/8 diameter, so some shocks have to have their shaft turned down and some can be adapted with a sleeve (most likely). Since there's no rubber involved here they're kinda harsh for the street, and the spherical bearing liners wear out (at least they did on all my race cars) so you get a rattling sound caused by the bearing ball translating within it's race that might be annoying. Guest Aguyandaredhead
I bought a set of coilovers from him about 4 years ago. I have been looking for a website or a phone number to get ahold of him since I started this latest project. His stuff is top notch. So how would I get in touch with him these days, any idea? Thanks Jeff

z-ya
A spelling error, why? BTW, I left two to many coil over hats in the box. I also need six of those big washers in there. Bring them to work, and I'll pick them up when I drop off the struts. Pete

johnc
I buy the Koni's throught Erik Messley at EMI Racing (714) 713-9096. Ross Corrigan also sells them for $170 each plus shipping. You can also get them through TruChoice, ProParts, Tripoint Engineering, and most other suspension shops. There isn't a big margin on shocks so don't expect any great deals.
