Chaparral2f
I've been wondering if it would be possible to mate a V12 Jag to an Olds toranado transaxle. The problem with using a toro in the back of a car is that the engine sits mostly behind the axels. If it were possible to use the V12, I would think that at least some of the weight would be in front of the axel. Maybe I shouldn't have had that last beer. Trevor
It would take 2 adaptors: The John's Cars (Quarter shift) Jag engine to Chevy TH-xxx trans adaptor, followed by The Kennedy Engineered Products Chevy engine to Toronado TH-425 transaxle adaptor. And a converter spacer, and some really long bolts.
dot
When I was making my bell housing I got in touch with a guy named Kirby Palm, a Jaguar eccentric, who mated a Jag V12 to a Buick bell housing and a T5. He said they were fairly close. He used a homebuilt plate to match up the two. Here I an assuming the Buick is similar to the Olds’ bell housing. But I’m not 100% sure. staledale
heck that swap has been done. Saw it on E-Bay in a Lamborghini kit car. I don't think it would work in a Z unless you don't mind the fan belt rubbing the back of your ear.( maybe your knee)
