Guest Phil1934 Posted January 14, 2004 Share Posted January 14, 2004 I am planning to run 255's and have 6-1/2" 300ZX wheels with 5" backspacing and a pair of 1/2" spacers. I just realized I am going to need $8 studs to make this work. The other option is to raise the spring perch and shorten the stock spring or a 2+2 spring. I'd rather buy the studs and can't see any problem on the outside lip so is anyone running 235 or 255 15 with the stock spring and no flares? nullbound Posted January 14, 2004 Share Posted January 14, 2004 6.5" is too narrow for 255/60's and handle well... definitely agreeing with brad. i'm using 255/60-15's on 15x8" wheels with 4.5" backspacing (much more appropriate wheel size for that size tire) with 280z struts and 240z lowering springs.
