Guest szlash280z Posted January 28, 2004 Share Posted January 28, 2004 I think I have a clogged fuel filter! That's probably why my car started detonating at only 10PSI! My pressure is sitting at 20PSI even with the vacuum line removed. My fuel pump is a new walbro type. Fuel filter is likely the only thing that can be causing the pressure drop! fl327 Posted January 28, 2004 Share Posted January 28, 2004 Once clogged a fuel filter so bad that the car would barely move. When I changed the filter, fuel pressure went from 40 to 60psi!! Its definitely possible it was the filter causing early detonation. I change the filter every couple months now, and try to keep some gas in the car at all times, fill up early and what not.
