Kevin Shasteen
Ok, how the heck do I go about putting a picture on one of these threads? I have access to the digital camera and I can dowload said pic's to my computer...but how do I get those pic's from my computer to the thread? DavyZ once responded that I had to find someone on the net to host the pict and then transfer the pic from that host to the thread. Once I find someone who will host the pic how do I get the pic from my computer to the host's site? Once the pic is on the host's site how do I go about transferring it from that host to the HybridZ thread? Tim240z
Go to your album (via 'album' button above). Click on 'personal gallery. Click on upload. As long as the picture isn't too big, you should be set. Tim
Heavy Z
I'll finish where Tim left off. If you want to put a pic into a thread once you've got it in your album, do the following: 1. click on your picture in your album to pull it up full-size 2. right click on the picture, hit "prpoperties" 3. highlight the web address (source) you see, right click on it, hit copy 4. Start a thread, click "img" for image, then right click and paste, then hit image again. It should look like this in your thread:
DavyZ
Kevin, Exactly what they said. Since HybridZ has the ability to host a personal photo album for you, you can upload it just like they said. Davy
Kevin Shasteen
Thanks for the instructions...however (one more stupid question here). I got to the point where Hybridz was uploading my pic. Yet it refused to do so and I got the respons: "Pic is either too large or corrupted". The size of the pic was only 86 x 100 pixels..so size shouldnt be a problem. What does it mean if my picture is "Corrupted"? Tim240z
Was it in the correct format (.jpg) etc?
Kevin Shasteen
Was it in the correct format (.jpg) etc? Yes, it was in jpg format. If it isnt one thing its always another-blasted Murphy's Law. Kevin, (Yea,Still an Inliner)

Kevin Shasteen
email me the pic and let me try.... Ok, not to sound stupid (oops-too late), but how do I go about emailing a "picture"? I really am computer illit-so dont leave out any steps. BTW: there are about 4 to 5 pic's: they are pic's of how I mounted my Stereo in the Z console. Tim240z
oh damn...we're really starting from square one here? Go you your email application. Opena new message (compose) There should be a button somewhere to 'attach' files. Click on that. You can then browse through your files to find the picture files, then highlight them and click 'OK', or 'open' or whatever button your email application has. Do this as many times as you have pictures, or try highlighting all the picture files the first go around by: click on the first file, then hold the 'ctrl' button and click on the next and the next etc, then continue. Kevin Shasteen
nothing yet....as of 15h47 Tim, Any chance you have received the email as of now? I live in the boonies and our server is slow as can be not to mention our phone lines are all underground and water saturated anytime it rains, which it has done a lot in the last couple weeks. The phone co points the finger at the internet server and our server blames the phone co(?). Sometimes it takes over night before someone actually receives an email from me or I receive one from them. Anyway, if you have not received said email I will try it again-it nothing from there I will simply...step back and punt: till another idea comes along. Kevin Shasteen
.., Which address are you sending to? tp2txh@earthlink.net[/email'].., Ahh-HAH! I've discovered the problem w/the email: it would appear there was a loose nut behind my steering wheel as I inadvertantly left off one of the "t's" in your email. So, let us try this one more time. My newest email attempt was sent just prior to this posting. Kevin, (Yes,Still an Inliner)
Kevin Shasteen
Okay, another question about downloading. After I click on Album....then click on "Personal Gallery" I get the response that: My gallery is empty or has not been created yet. Since I know I have never created any album are there specific instructions required to create one? Becasue I have not created a gallery-could this be the reason my feeble attempts are being "Compromised"? JKDGabe
Becasue I have not created a gallery-could this be the reason my feeble attempts are being "Compromised"? No, just find the little icon that says "upload pic".
Kevin Shasteen
Becasue I have not created a gallery-could this be the reason my feeble attempts are being "Compromised"? No' date=' just find the little icon that says "upload pic".[/quote'] Well that is what I've been trying to do. I almost got a picture in the gallery but the picture selected didnt stick-for some unknown reason. My gallery is there but it says "No Thumbnail". Who knows...I think I have computer prob's that I will have to work out before moving forwards. Anyways-thanks everyone for trying to help.
