MYRON Posted February 20, 2004 Share Posted February 20, 2004 Is there any difference in the LT1 short blocks between the first year up to the 97 model?... I am more concerened about the actual block itself not the heads and intake... I have a 97 block at the machine shop getting checked out to see if It can be salveged to do a 383 build up for my Z.... I also have a friend that has a fresh rebuilt short block(year unknown) that has been turned 10/10 and bored 30 using "good part"...I am waiting for more details on that motor..... I can buy it CHEAP and I was thinking about just keeping it on standby so when I do blow the motor in my TA I will have a spare ready to go....
