Tire size help...Please

My freind has a set of 16 x 7's with +32mm of offset and 205/45/16's I did the math and unless I'm wrong they have 4.13" of backspacing.

What I want to know is anyone is running this size wheel with 245/45/16's

My Car is lowered and besides that it is all stock. The tires are 9.6" on a 8" wide rim.

I don't know how much it's been lowered but my frame rails are about 3 1/2" to 3 1/4" off the ground (It's hard to get an accuracte measurment but I'll give it another shot)

I think 225/55or50/16 would fit, my tire chart says they would be 9.2" on a 7" wide wheel. The 50's would only be about .5" taller but the 55's would be about 1.5" taller.

225/45/16's would be 8.9" on a 7.5" wheel but I don't know how much of a difference the .5" rim width would effect the width of the tire.

Thanks

I've been talking to the guys a Discoount tire and I think I'll go with 225/50/16's they look they'll fit. Installed they measure 9.2" by 24.9".

If I am wrong about this let me know

Here I was thinking I was all savy.

I might be figuring backspaceing wrong becuase even with an 8" rim I don't get 5.13", I get 4.63". Here's how

32mm = 1.25984"

1.25984" + 8" = 9.25984"

9.25984" / 2 = 4.62992"

4.63" of backspacing.

How did you get 5.13"?

4" with 0 offset? But the tires have 32mm of offset, am I missing somthing?

Taht makes sense, and after taking another look at the formula I was doing my math wrong.

So are these 16 x 7's with +32mm gonna fit?

Right noe the wheels have 205/45/16 tires on them.
