Fuel Cutoff Switch

Is anyone using a fuel cut off switch? If so, what set up? I am thinking a pressure drop that triggers cutting power to the pump. Anyone doing this? My thinking is a halfshaft bites it and it ends up cutting my fuel line. Searched, but didn't see anything.

Thanks

I may be over worried but I want to be sure. I could use both, or is it going to be overkill? I ran my 3/8 alum line where the stockers were, through the tunnell and even through the stock mounts. The only difference is where the fule line stayed on the top of the under carage when going across the rear subframe crossmember, just behind the diff, Mine is UNDER The brake line, instead of OVER, like the stock was. nothing should hit it but I am trying to think worse case....

When I put my aluminum lines in, anywhere there was metal to metal contact, I used rubber hose over the aluminum line to protect it. Put a couple of tie wraps around it to kepp it from moving.

If the high pressure line were to rupture, you would probably loose fuel pressure, which would cause the engine to stall, and the ECU would turn off the pump. If the return line ruptured, then you would be spewing fuel until the tank went empty.

The line is isolated from contact with other metals. I am only running a supply line, carb, and only thinking of a mechanical mishap that severed the line. I guess I will just get the oil pressure swtich and if there is a problem, kill the motor.
