MrWOT
Has anyone completed this into a Z yet? I've poked around a bit and I like the potential of this combo. I've seen dyno numbers in the high 300's low 400's around 2500-7000 which is all I want to make (I value my life there's ice here alot). I've read the posts awd92gsx made but still can't seem to find anyone who has posted complete instructions feel free to chime in awd92gsx this is all your fault for waving a light weight powerhouse in front of me anyway 8) I'd just plow through it the hard way but I don't have the time carring 22 units in school Thanks. auxilary
I think it's the ease of plugging it in, as far as swaps go. In this case, it's easier to get an sr20det and achieve same results. I don't know what one would use for a rwd transmission for the dsm turbo block.
Guest jsigone
a mighty max trans will bolt to the 4G63. The 4G63 motor can make more reliable HP then a SR20DET and parts are very easy to come buy. U'll have to fab a custom intake mani for the 4g63 motors otherwise the TB will be agaist the firewall. My DSMs run high boost on pump gas with well over 300 to the wheels. The stock bottom end has held up to 500AWHP (over 600 at the crank) I know alot of guys pushing 400-450AWHP on the stock motor and head (other then cams)
MrWOT
Hrmmmm.... that Mighty Max transmission makes me nervous... I think I'll just donut bribe my friend (master machinest) to fab me a bellhousing if I do it, but before I do I was hoping for firsthand knowledge of how the car will ride afterword. I know the torque curve LOOKS good, but I want a butt-o-meter rating before I try it

I know the torque curve LOOKS good, but I want a butt-o-meter rating before I try it there is talk of a guy that took a beefy starion tranny, stripped it, took the guts and stuffed them into a mighty max case and was running 9's w/o a prob. my 93 AWD TSI with a T61 turbo and 21psi on piss 91oct would satisfy any butt-o-meter
onephatz
Hrmmmm.... that Mighty Max transmission makes me nervous... I have seen a mighty max pickup with a 4g63 in it from an eclipse. he was running around 300hp or so. everything seemed to hold together rather nicely. just my .02 jesse
Guest bdropped
you should contact these guys http://www.buschurracing.com/ they make a mount kit for the starion that might work and they make an adapter to mount a powerglide tranny to it. Guest bdropped
oh and if you are looking for a 4g64 hybrid bottom end go to slowboyracing.com the 4g64 is said to add about 150ftlb of torque more than the 4g63
