JKDGabe
Searched around a bit but can't find it for free. If someone knows where to look I'd sure appreciate it. I'm in Texas. I've heard it requires a lot, a sign and an office... just wondering if that's all besides the fees. I guess I'll call the courthouse tomorrow. Tim240z
Sorry, can't give you any Texas specific info, but a universal requirement for used car dealers is: No Conscience
TomoHawk
You also need the necessary permit(s) or license to sell stuff (cars?) You should be able to get the required info at your local or county commerce office, probably city hall can tell you where to get it. Sumo
You have to have enough space to display up to or more than 5 vehicles. You have to have the name of the business there displayed prominently. You can actually use another dealers lot and put your sign there. On some of the tote the note lots you will notice two to four signs of different companies. As far as the licensing fees goes, you have to ask the county because it may vary. New License Application - $175.00 I think
JKDGabe
Found it... I think. $500 fee for the first year, $200 to renew along with the aforementioned lot and sign. Less than that for the salvage dealer license which is actually what I want.
