Guest dan280zx
Have a 1983 280zxt. Having an ignition miss. Using a timing light to see if I'm getting spark to each plug. Half of the plugs get spark 80-90% of the time. One seems to get spark 100%, and 2 get spark about 50-60% of the time. Engine idle slows down exactly when plugs misfire. Have installed new cap, rotor, wires, plugs. Engine seems to run strong at high speeds. Have checked system ground connections and most of the sensors that tie into the computer. Need some help please.
dmyntti
I would think it would have to be either the coil or the pickup in the distributor. I am a Chevy guy so I don't know the Datsun distributor. If it has an ignition module like a chevy than that would be a likely cause too.
