BillZ260
I am lining up my parts needed to dry fit the block and trans in the car to get any fab work done so that the complete engine trany is a straight bolt in when it comes time. I didn't start out with an engine trans combo so I am short some of the hardware I need. My question is what grade of hardware do I need to buy for these applications... 3/8-16 that go through the JTR setback plates/spacers/into block 3/8-16 that go throught the bell housing to block ?????? that goes from trans into bell housing (any one know what thread those are? Stock bellhousing from 83 camero w/ GM T-5 NWC) For the JTR Xmember bolting through the floor and backing plates Where is the best place to pick these up? NAPA?? Mike kZ
Use grade 8 bolts.
ThomaZ
The four bolts that hold the T5 against the bell housing are standard M12 x 1,75. They need to be about 40 mm (1 9/16â€) long.
