Guest Luv_piece
correction REDTOP = zenki(early model) S13 SR20' date=' low port head, t25 BLACKTOP = kouki(late model) 180SX/S13/S14, S14 models have VTC and T28(NOT THE SAME T28 AS S15 TURBINE), high port head S15 has a blacktop engine, different mission (6 gears in the 5 gear mission case speed sensor in rear end), T28 ball bearing turbine and VTC just wanna make sure you guys are buying the right stuff as far as poweroutput its all the same once turbine/camshafts are swapped. i would get a redtop myself.[/quote'] Kouki S13 blacktop does not have VTC or T28, basically the S13 Blacktop is the same as the S13 Redtop with a few minor differences like fins on the front of the head and a black valve cover. Stock horse power was rated at 205@6000rpm. Also stock horse power rated for S14 Blacktops were 220@6000rpm vs. S15 Blacktops which rated at 250@6000rpm. The difference between those two where the turbines used. The S15 turbine had a cast divider that seperates the wastegate and turbine discharge. Guest zline
i never said they did maybe if you'd read more careful instead of trying to run around and correct me BLACKTOP = kouki(late model) 180SX/S13/S14, S14 models have VTC and T28(NOT THE SAME T28 AS S15 TURBINE), high port head
Guest Luv_piece
I have read it and it sounds like you are lumping all blacktops together when they are different.
SR240Z
the redtop and blacktop S13 are high port heads, the S14 blacktop (kouki) had VTC and low port head.
