Guest Anonymous
I went to a friends house today to look at his 28 ford streetrod, showcar, He had his intake ceramic coated, MAN, it looked like a polished alum. piece. does anybody know what this would look like 6 months down the road , or even longer, or how durable this process is ? ------------------ 74 260, early 350,K.B.pistons,edelbrock manifold, carb, and cam,202 cast iron heads.Let the transformation begin. Guest Anonymous
It will look just the same. Ceramic coating will not tarnish or dull. Looks almost between chrome, and polished alum. I am actually getting my TPI setup chromed and my headers on my Z are Ceramic coated. They look great ------------------ You can go a long way with a smile. Mikelly
Creamic coating is the way to go for two reasons: It looks great and doesn't require the constant clean up of polished aluminum or chrome, and it sheds heat better than anything else on the market. Your buddies street rod probably has a few extra ponies due to the fact that the fuel and air are being delivered to the heads a few degrees cooler than if it were chromed or or polished. My headers have been on the car for over a year and they look great. I don't have a bunch of miles on them, but they do look sweet!
