Guest iskone
I have a 280Z and want to slap on some ZG's but I"d like to have the same size wheels all around. So does anybody know the largest front wheels width? I've searched and read alot of threads but havn't fouond a solid answer. I seen guys run 245's up front, is that the max? I plan to run 17"x9" wheels but I'd rather have 17"x10"-10.5" Thanks
Guest JAMIE T
Mike Kelly had 17x9's on the front of his 260. His were on 5 lug hubs which set the rim out another 3/4" I've heard. As for the biggest, I'll let you know in a couple of weeks(if you haven't done yours by then). I've got 18x9.5's with 265/35's on them for the front of mine with ZG's, but my suspension is still not under the car. I've been too damn busy working to get anything done on my Z. I measured my '71(stock suspension/hubs/brakes) with ZG's(both of my Z's gottem') and it looked like about 6" from the hub face to the very edge of the flare. My 18's have a 5.5" backspace, so that leaves about 4" out. But, the rim is actually closer to 10.5" if you measure from outside lip to outside lip. The 265 is perfectly flush with the rim lip. Mine is 5 lug also.
Guest ON3GO
i have a 17x9 up front with the 255-40-ZR17 tire.. its werid though cuz my yokohama is wider then other tires of the same size from different brands. im sure i can stick a 275 up front but then its gonna rub abit on the frame rail, even more so with the bigger sway bar. mike

I'm sure you;ll have your setup before I have mine, I'm still working out every aspect I can before I buy anything. What kind of wheels do you have? How are your wheels/tires lining up with the ZG fender flares on the outside? I looked into the CCW wheels they are a good deal, but I perfer theese I got a quote back from discount tire for the wheels and tires has got me at $5200

Guest JAMIE T
5.5" back spacing front and rear. 18x9.5 front and rear. Z31 front hubs 5-lug. ZG flares, 265/35's on the front and I will be using 275/35 drag radials on the rear as soon as they come in. No spacers. I do have coilovers. I am waiting to post pics so that all my good friends here at Hybridz will still remain my friends and not hate me becuase my car is so baddass looking. Jealousy can ruin a friendship The wheels are Centerline's in the Sundance series. That is as far as I will go. You'll just have to wait and see. I've also just about got my 13" front brakes built.
