Guest iskone
I've been looking at 3000gt lights for a while. For these to lookg right on a Z It wouldn't be easy or cheap though. These are a custom job on a 3000gt. Heres a look at a late model 3000gt headlights
CruxGNZ
I have a different kind of headlight, but it is still the 7". It's made for a VW Jetta. A picture is in my photo album. Look for the user name "dot" that has the Jag' V-12, he has a different headlight treatment. There is also a convertible Z in the sites photo album with a different headlight treatment you might want to check out. There was also a red Z from Canada I believe, that had pop up headlights, like on a 'Vette. !M!

scott19
I've been thinking either late model Taurus or Dodge Neon headlights could be grafted into the stock buckets. Anybody want to try this with photoshop?
Tim240z
I've been thinking either late model Taurus or Dodge Neon headlights could be grafted into the stock buckets. Anybody want to try this with photoshop? There is a Hyundai model that I was eyeing a while back that looks very close to the swept shape of the Z bucket.... Mrtemp
I was also thinking of a dual projector style made to fit into the headlight bucket. Inspiration:
Guest LedFoot
I've always though a good conversion would be the new volkswagen beetle xenon headlamps. They're round, about the same diameter and would throw out a hell of a lot of light and still keep the old style of the zed. Xenon's toss light about 900m at high beam versus the standard 200ish H4. Anybody want to try this with photoshop? The Taurus headlights have been done. I think they look pretty good myself. http://www.datsuns.com/cars/jimbiondo.htm
CruxGNZ
damn... that's slick. do those little things actually throw any light? Those look like ~'96 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme headlights or mid '90's style Camaro headlights. !M!
scott19
Cool! I'm glad somebody found that Taurus lighted Z. I'd seen it once a long time ago. I was looking at a new Beetle's lights last night. Definitely has potential!
Mike kZ
I always liked this headlight treatment. It was a Motorsport prototype that never made it to production:
