prelewd
Anybody ever heard of or seen an ///M powered Z? Either the 333hp V6 from the '03 M3 or the 394hp V8 from the '03 M5? I saw a wrecked M5 on ebay today, and that was my inspiration to entertain this thought. BTW: I've been reading around the board a bit and I find it very informative and interesting. I like it. Scottie-GNZ
The M3 engine is an inline not a V6.
auxilary
Most of Z swaps are budget oriented. An e46 m3 motor itself costs about 15k used on ebay
Guest RCNSC
My friend has a 2002 M3 convertible, and that engine is AMAZING. 8K shifts, torqy, very responsive and 333hp aint bad! Only problem is they are aluminum blocks = no turbo/sc without serious $$. There are companies that have developed S/C for E46 M3 motors but they are like 7-10K+ Here are some pics of his car. Mrtemp
How much are engines from the E36 m3's?
Guest RCNSC
How much are engines from the E36 m3's? I've seen them used for around 8K. But they too suffer from the overpriced BMW aftermarket. AA makes a turbo kit that starts at like 6K or something stupid like that. Dinan, RMS and some other companies offer other forms of forced induction but they too are crazy priced. An S52 Euro M3 motor runs around 15K. It has 321HP. Would be cool to have one of those mated to the Euro E36 6 speed.
