is this a $25,000 "rare" 280z??

Recommended Posts

I'm not very versed on the 80 model 280z, but I find this hard to belive..... $5,000 to $8,000 maybe, because it appears to be clean, but being in Fla., I'd assume it's had its battle with rust, like any other gulf state z....

I think its a nice looking Z, its the price I wonder about.

Whata you guyz think?

I think that I should buy one of those regular 280zxs for 4k in excellent shape, slap on $300 worth of custom graphics, and sell them for 25k like that guy. If he finds someone to buy that car for 25k, I won't call him a moron, but I'll call him a genius.

A penis mightier? you're sitting on a goldmine, trebek!

This is my favorite quote from his ad:

In 1980, Automobilia, an auto brokerage firm in Stanford, Connecticut quoted that "based upon the limited edition nature of the car (limited production), the fact that Datsun has discontinued production in 1981 of the exterior/interior color combination (i.e., black and red, respectively), ...I estimate the market value to be in excess of $25,000 with 5-8% appreciation hereafter."

Well, that quote from 1980 did not hold true based on the market for Z cars, so why even put it in there? To confuse the ignorant buyer? Caveat Emptor.
