Project "death by turbo" update.

Hey all. I've been pretty busy with work lately and I have been having trouble finding time to surf here.

 

The Z is still alive. The Merkur injector swap into my VG30ET is complete. The reprogrammed ecu is in, and the car fired up on the first turn of the key.

 

I found some electrical gremlins and a minor vac leak while doing the inj swap... it is running even better now.

 

I have the boost set the same, while I ensure the air fuel ratios are ok...The boost will get cranked though..don't worry about that!

 

The fuel pump is rewired finally, nice 10 guage wire, direct to the battery, with a slick relay.

 

I have started to fit the rear belly pan to the car. It is getting modded a bit, and it will now hide the gas tank. It will be a few more days before I can finish it up. I looks mean when it is just put into place! I'll have plenty of under car pics.

It sure will be fun to test the belly pan out eh? Don't worry.. I remember.. 7-9 degrees.. hehehe.

Custom work is a joy isn't it? hehe

I'm definitely looking forward for the completion of this. I might be getting a 280Z myself and have been a fan of the VG30ET engines so I was planning on swapping it into there. How hard was the swap? Pretty much just a lot of fab work?
