Guest plainswolf
Grumpy what the heck makes the C4 vettes so heavy? I know they are a full frame car but do they have anything like the Z car bumper weight in their design? in fact how do their bumper work? are they a crush zone? Don't get me wrong I LOVE vettes! was just curious though.. especially of the C4 series
CruxGNZ
"Jim Bob changes his muffler bearings" But seriously, if that person had the cash to buy that 'Vette, don't you think they would invest in some decent jack stands and a jack? !M! grumpyvette
my c-4 corvette weights about 3300lbs without me in it, the reason I use those jack stands is that the wider base prevents tipping and they are MUCH stronger than the 3-6 ton size,if youve ever worked with other guys youll sooner or later see someone lean on a car while its up on jackstands and if its useing those flimsy cheap 2-3 ton stands chances are great that the car moves some, the 6 ton are better but not nearly in the same class as the 12 ton models
