Forgive my ignorance, as everyone here seems to know what they are doing but i'm a bit in the dark. Anyway, i've got a 280zx engine/T3-4 turbo/P90 ported head/tripple 40 dells using blowthrough. Which equaits to about 300 ish BHP. I was looking at T5 box, and 280zxt prop shaft, drive shafts, diff, 280z half shafts and modded companion flanges. Is this the way to go? Mike C Posted June 27, 2004 Share Posted June 27, 2004 I like the T5 box myself, but othes claim the Nissan 5 speed is stronger and they prefer the ratios. The T5 ratios are very similar to the early Nissan 4 speed and have a better OD than the early Nissan 5 speeds. IF you do go with the T5, buy an aftermarket shifter. The Nissan T5 uses the same shifter as an 83-93 Ford T5. I bought the modded companion flanges to run 280zx half shafts, BUT that was before Ross C had the adapters that let you run 300ZX (first gen) half shafts. If I had to do it again, I would go that way since I still have not found reasonably $ 280ZX CV shafts. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Are 300zx shafts better than 280zx, or just easier to get. Do you have a website for whoever makes the adaptors. By the way, I live in the UK so I need to find someone who will ship here.
