what suspension setups are available for z31

I'm interested in getting rid of my 240sx and getting a z31 turbo, turning it into a road racing/autocross car, but so far my search on suspension has turned up nothing, z31.com had some hacked up coilover setups available, but I'm really looking for something more, are any setups from the z32 transferrable (with minor modifications of course) over to the z31? or does anyone make anything that would work. I remember seeing an rb26dett powered z31 on a japanese site a while back that had some kind of coilover setup but I can't remember what it was.

Your 240sx would make a better race car than Z31 IMO , better suspension particularly in the rear and greater aftermarket availability of suspension tuning products. Just slip a VG30E in the engine bay or find an SE with it already fitted. Neil

Hello,

I think you are refering to this website

http://www.fsinet.or.jp/~ranfa/GALLERY/200ZRphoto.htm

I also thought about getting a Z31, instead i bought a 280Z. Anyway, how much are you selling the coupe for? The new '93 coupe that you bought is very nice!!

Thanks,

Tony

I was wondering the same thing. I've seen some people do the SS springs but I've got a Shiro and I'm looking for full coilover suspension.

Seems to me that if you've got the Z32 brakes then the actual shocks and spring setup wouldn't be too different... Might have to modify the tower if the bolt pattern is different. Anyone know if you can stick Z32 coilover suspension into a Z31?? I had my heart set on some JIC Magic's.

that's a very nice car up there, but I found the one I was thinking of...the site (http://z31.afz.jp/top/top.html) doesn't work anymore though so I don't have any info on it other than the pictures:

it would appear that he's got the z32 brake conversion, but the suspension is still a mystery.

the 240sx is nice, but I really want something different, and am really tired of the 240sx crowd's attitude, I don't plan on selling it anytime in the real near future, but am trying to plan for my next vehicle a year or two down the road.
