phantaz Posted August 9, 2004 Share Posted August 9, 2004 i had read somewhere earlier in this forum that you can use a 4spd auto from a 84? 300zx and actually bolt it up to the bell housing on a 280zx?? so you can lose the 3 spd auto the280 came with..... im a little unclear about that since your going from a v6 to an inline but mostly im concerned about the trans itself. Wernt all the 300Z's auto trans computer controlled ?? i have been driving my 280zx for about 3 years and the long drive to school would be a lot nicer with the overdrive benefit of the 4 speed auto .
