Heavy Z Posted August 18, 2004 Share Posted August 18, 2004 This reminded me of a post I made here a while back about puting a Diesel V8 in a Z. The mpg seems reasonable and may have room for improvement. If going with a vette, I'd personally want one in a 63-67 since you could get them with an optional 36 gallon tank (what a range!). Sure it wouldn't be as fast as a gasoline engine, but prices these days make driving an old car long distances unrealistic.
