datsunan
So after 5 months I finally hooked up my speedo and its way off. I expected it would be off some but what the @#$@. When I'm doing 20 it says 60 when I'm doing 65-70 it says 160mph. I don't know what tranny I have other than its a 5 speed with a red speedo gear in the tranny. I am running a 3.75 lsd rear and 16/225/50s. Could it really be that far off? How can I get it closer can I just change the speedo gear or do I need to change the inner tranny gear also? I need it to be more accurate in order for the speed control on Apexi boost controller to work. Any ideas? Thanks Paul
Guest Aaron
You have to change the tranny gear to match your rear end gear. At one time there was a web site that listed which gears match. Maybe it was ZHome?
COZY Z COLE
See if this link helps... http://www.geocities.com/zgarage2001/engine.html Drop down to part four on tthe transmission and in it it explains matching speedometer to the diff. BTW the red cog has 20 teeth and is for a 4.11 rear end. LARRY
