  1. Just got my msa damper and before installing it i noticed the groove is way thinner than stock. Anyone come across this? Read one post that stated you need to use a thinner belt, why should i have to do that? That would mean less surface area to contact other dives, plus then the belt would ride in the bottom of the other pulleys which its not meant to do. Any help? Thanks

  6. I found a FAQ on fidanza web site they said it could be resurfaced but it would cost the same as replacing the disk. Its an xtd pp and disk.
  7. yeh im trying to figure out why i get the ? not the pics
  8. this is what my Fidanza flywheel looks like. It has been slipping a bit in 4th gear but when it does i get off the gas so i would not think that i have been burning it up but thats what it looks like. Can these fw's be resurfaced? The disk is also messed up with pits in it like it is coming apart.

  12. Hi guys, I need a new clutch and have been reading some bad reviews on spec clutches and it seems to be about 50/50. I was looking at doing the spec 3+ for my 360ftlb turbo with fid alum flywheel. I wonder if the bad review are from improper installation or poor product. I am currently running the xtd clutch but its not holding 4th gear. I had the centerforce dual friction and that did not hold either. Car is mostly a daily driver and I want the clutch to last a while without eating my fw. I have read many posts but am still unsure of the spec quality any help would be great thanks Paul
  13. There is a complete 71 240 in great shape at Ecology off of Nirvana st in SD. I was tempted to buy it but have no place to put it. It is very original and not molested at all, it even has the original radio. The seats are pefect center console door panels and all interior is in great shape, the only thing missing is the fuse cover. The fuse panel is also fine not melted. The body is straight has no rust on the floors. The only rust I found was on the dog leg, rocker to rear quater both sides, could be patched easly. They want $1600 for it, I was going to buy it and resell it for twice that but the wife would have my head. It did not start, the starter would not engage. It would need agoing over as it looks like it has been sitting for years. Someone please save this one from the crusher!
  14. Man I wish I could airbrush! Thats really a cool look I dig the color choices it really pops. From the flash on the paint I asume that is a large flack metalic paint job? I bet it looks even better in the sun. Nice job.
  15. Well that expains it! I'm headed to the yards to try and get some new bolts. I could not find that washer in any of my manuals. Thanks for the help guys.
  16. This is the 2nd time this has happened. First with my CF Duel fricton, now with my XTD set-up. I think my FW bolts are out to far dew to this large washer that is on my FW. Does anyone know if this is supposed to be on an 83 turbo with the BW tranny? I'm thinking not if it keeps hitting my bolts, either that or the bolt heads are wrong. this is also the second FW stock and now alum 10lb. You can see where the bolts are shinny is where they have been hitting the spring retainers on the disc. Any Idea, help? thanks Paul
  17. Ha, I saw the date 2/28 on one of the posts but did not look at the year, just figuered it was current. Anyways thanks for the info looks like they may be back in stock but its a .6mm, have they always been that and people just round up to 1mm? I want to keep running high boost so I don't want any higher compression. MSA has the 2mm listed on there site maybe I should get that one.
  18. I can't find a head gasket on either of those sites, the nismoparts safe shopper site takes me to freemerchant site. Do you need to be a member and log in? did a search at courtesy and came up with nada. Any help?
  19. I'm pushing 400hp and my 2nd clutch is slipping with 5k miles on it. I need a daily drive clutch that does not chatter, I don't mind a heavy peddle but i don't want it to be hard to engage without chatter, I've search and found that most guys with 4-6 puck clutches have this problem, is this true with all pucks? I have tried the CF II and a heavy PP from some other manufacture that I don't recall right now and am out of options. If pucks are my only option, can someone tell me where to get one and possibly a part # Thanks Paul
  20. You need to do alot of reading here on HybridZ, all you need to know is here. No one is going to answer all the questions you are going to have if you don't even know the diff between a turbo and supercharger. There are many variables to every setup as you will see when you start your own research.
