opie
I just pulled an LSD from a junkyard that was in an 87 turbo with a build date of 6-87 on the door tag. This must be the earliest of cars to come with one huh? The parking lights in the nose piece had semi-circular sides instead of the mostly rectangular ones in earlier cars. Just wondering if this light difference would be a visual exterior cue to look for prior to seeing under the car.
opie
Earliest meaning that a June 87 car most be the earliest month an LSD could have come in--assuming this wasn't swapped in.

opie
Got it. 1) after 4/87 only-(3.7 Clutch Type LSD) 2) 88 All White SS used a 3.7 Viscous Coupling LSD) 3) LSD Unites Came With Finned Rear Covers So April would be the earliest by this list. What does number 3 mean? (LSD Unites Came With Finned Covers) The three I've had, had finned covers. What's "Unites" Oh! It's supposed to be Units! Okay thanks. About the parking lights, I still wonder if this conincides with a model upgrade for the mid year when they also added the LSD? Would be good for quick eyeballing in the yards.
